Remote Security
In light of recent of recent publicity involving Internet of things (IoT), we strongly recommend our customers adhere to the best practice policy when connecting devices to the internet.
These include:
- Using non-standard ports
- Not opening unnecessary ports
- Changing all default usernames and passwords (as prompted).

Home Automation
If your control system dictates the use of port 80 (for internal use), we still strongly recommend you change your external port using your router. If your router does not support this option it is recommended you upgrade to a router with this feature.

3/4 Connectivity
If the LILINViewer App is working slowly with 3/4G connection (but operating as expected on Wi-Fi); implementing the steps above may improve your 3/4G performance.
Testing at LILIN UK has revealed that the performance of the LILINViewer App can be effected by the use of Port 80 & 8080 when using 3/4G (depending on your service provider). Changing the external port used by the device in the router may improve performance.
 
*Note - The performance of the LILINViewwer App using 3/4G is still reliant on a good upload/download speed.
