[Before You Upgrading]

Vigor2600 Plus Series is a new product family which includes Vigor2600plus, Vigor2600i,
Vigor2600G and Vigor2600Gi.  To compare with existing Vgir2600 Series, the new product family 
not only improves the power of network processor (ARM9 CPU CORE), the speed of wireless LAN 
(802.11g 54Mbps), but also the performance of VPN (hardware-enabled DES/3DES encryption).

[Release Firmware]

(1)For Annex A Model,
	     1> "v26ga250.xxx" is with ADI firmware 42E2EA53.  (Standard)

	     2> "v26gk250.xxx" is with ADI firmware 41E2BE2C.       
                 (Recommended for UK, v2.5_UK)

	     3> "v26g0250.xxx" is with ADI firmware 43E2EAA1.
                 (Recommended for high dB users which are using 
                  ADSL extended line on UK, v2.5_UK2)

	     4> "v26gc250.xxx" is with ADI firmware 40E2BE29.       
                 (Recommended for Holland, v2.5_H)

(2)For Annex B Model,
	     1> "v26gb250.xxx" is with ADI firmware 40E4BE42.  (Standard)

	     2> "v26gg250.xxx" is with ADI firmware 40E4BE96.
                 (Recommanded for Germany, v2.5_G)

Notes:

1. This release firmware don't allow to upgrade into previous Vigor2600 Series which 
includes Vigor2600, Vigor2600X, Vigor2600We and Vigor2600W.
  
2. You have to upgrade "*.RST" firmware file once you face the booting problems 
after upgrading.  To upgrade "*.RST" firmware file will erase the existing router's settings, 
and restore it to the factory default.  When will you allow to updade your router using 
this file ?  Once you upgrade your router using "*.ALL" firmware file (normally use) 
unsuccessfully several times, we suggest you upgrading "*.RST" firmware file.  

3. After upgrading successfully, you can make sure the upgraded firmware version listed above 
on the web user interface. 

4. Do not attempt to restore old settings from a configuration backup file downloaded 
from previous firmware version.  


[Release Note]

In addition to those available functions of Vigor2600 Series Rev. v2.5, this revision we 
have implemented some additional functions listed below: 

1. LPR Print Server via USB Printer port on the back panel

2. VLAN support port-based rate throttle capability

3. WPA for wireless 802.11g (Beta version)
   - Comply with WPA version 1.
   - Define 7 security modes. 
   - Support both pure WPA environment and Non-WPA(WEP) and 
     WPA co-existing environment.
   - Automatically disconnect all clients whenever the encryption mode 
     is changed.
   - Under "WEP or WPA/PSK" mode, the default WEP key is fixed at key index 2.
   - Only TKIP encryption is available for WPA clients. 

4. The Multi-PVC function is mainly to improve the ADSL access capability.  
Current implementation depends on specific ISP/Telcom services.  If you don't know whether 
your ISP/Telcom support it or not, please ignore the realted settings of Multi-PVC function.  
In general, you are recommended to select "UBR" of QoS for the Internet Access.

5. If you have any ADSL on-line problem, please contact your service provide at first, 
or get into web user interface ("Internet Access Setup" > "PPPoE/PPPoA" or "MPoA") to change 
the "Modulation" of "DSL Modem Settings" to "T1.413", then to try again.  Also, you can use 
the following Telnet commands to tune your router working with Globespan chipset DSLAM :

  > adsl status            Get DSLAM chipset verdor information
  > adsl dslam gspn        Set ADSL parameters compatible with the Globespan chipset DSLAM 
  > adsl dslam default     Set ADSL parameters to fatory default settings
